Walking The Jiang Hu

"Listen up", announced the old senior eccentric in front of them ,"This is the place where your destiny is gong to be decided."

The senior continued ,"This day decides if you will become a disciple of the Nine Paths One Truth Sect, other wise you could just try again! Now let me tell you what is going to happen.

Geng Jiang, show them."

After Yip An had decided he would join the local sect in his area he gave his goodbyes to his family and friends. The Nine Paths one Truth sect was a sect that used to be the number one powerhouse in the continent. The sect leader of the sect had once went out to a place called the Nine Falling Leaves Valley. The origin of the name of the valley came from the disappearance of nine heavenly experts who had delved into the valley in hope for treasure. When the sect leader went into the valley he had actually found the dead corpses of the 9 fallen experts.

The sect leader then immediately went back to his sect. When he went to investigate what was in the corpses of the nine heavenly experts he had been ambushed from behind. The sect leader then immediately broke mountain in half with his earth moving technique so that everybody in the sect could see what was going on. The sect leader then used multiple high level talismans leaving much pain in his heart. The high level talismans did a lot of damage and severely injured the spy. However, the spy didn't give up.

A bright red shield encircled the spy. The spy chanted a secret technique and multiple treasures flew out of his hand and became engulfed in a red fire. One was a ninety-nine meter long spear with engravings along it. The second one was a green jade bowl with multiple green balls surrounding it.

The third and final one was a yellow magic carpet that was changing colours constantly.

The sect leader gazed at the opposing spy with a face of shock. But he shrugged it off and got back his calm face. The sect leader then thought this was enough. The sect leader then pulled out a white sword with no imperfections in it. It had magical aura around it. This was sword intent. sword Intent is achieved when somebody comprehends the sword to a high enough level that any sword they wield gains intent.

However, the sword intent held in this sword wasn't just at the initial stage. It was at major success!

The sect leader than flew forward propelling himself forward to the spy's red shield. The sword slashed at the red shield and the shield broke into many tiny fragments.

The spy then commanded his bowl to shoot forth his "magical balls" and the 3 green balls divided into two and then all those green balls divide into two until the magical balls counted up to 12288 magical balls. The balls covered the sky enrapturing both the of the opposing sides in it.

The green magical balls then flew forward at an insane speed. There was very little space for the sect leader to dodge. The sect leader's speed was at another level. With the sect leader's sword skills he split nearly all of the magical balls in two. The sect leader had 21 after images while cutting apart the balls. This signified that he was at a very high level of sword intent.

The enemy spy was surprised but still kept his calm. Without hesitation he sent out the magic carpet and the ninety-nine meter long spear. The magic carpet rushed towards the sect leader while leaving a trail of rainbows in it's wake. The magic carpet slowly expanded to 10 meters long and wide. It then fully enraptured the sect leader. The sect leader was struggling and pushing against the magic carpet but it was to no avail. The spear that was following behind the carpet had almost caught up to the sect leader. He had to think of something fast or he would be dead meat.

The enemy spy had a big grin on his face when the spear approached the sect leader. The ninety-nine meter spear then mad a fresh clean hole through the sect leader's stomach. The sect leader's body then limped out of the air and landed on the cliff of the mountain he had initially split apart.

"hahahahahahahaha... So it's true that the devouring carpet's constraining abilities truly is unparalleled in the mortal realm." ,cackled the enemy spy.

Soon after a few figures appeared behind the enemy spy.

"let's go kill the chief disciples now" ,announced the spy.

Soon after that the enemy spies killed most of the elders and the chief disciples. This left the sect with just low level disciples. All the disciples then moved provinces because the province they lived in was too chaotic. The land their sect they layed upon was also full of high live spirit veins. If they didn't move soon then they would be exterminated by nearby high level powers. They left the area and let other high level power fight for the province.

They then founded the sect in the nearby mountain ranges near the outskirts of the city called Arufreta. They then held a tournament to decide the rank of and positions of the cultivators within the sector. Whoever was the strongest would become the sect leader.

Fast forward 200 years and you would come to the present.

The young man called Geng Jiang went to the front of the crowd and lifted up the massive stone boulder that was sitting in front of the crowd. He lifted the stone boulder while on one foot and didn't blink an eye at all. It was like nothing when lifting this massive boulder. Many people stood in shock of this young man's strength. If this wouldn't even make him blink an eye while standing on one foot. What would? A hill? A mountain?

The old eccentric at the front then randomly pointed to a few people to come up. The people who came up all had nervous expressions. None of them would want to be mocked for the rest of their life because they failed at the first part of the entrance exam to the Nine Paths One Truth sect. They would all be a laughingstock to anybody. They would also bring shame to their family.

Many of the seniors at the front were quite shocked of how many disciples were passing right now.

Currently there was a crowd of about 200 disciples in front of them right now in the crowd. Of the initial 200, so far 157 had passed and 22 people had failed. Finally it was Yip An's turn.

"You" , said the old man said the old man at the front.

Yip An then came to the front of the crowd and went to the front of the boulder and put both of his hands on the boulder. When he touched the boulder he could feel a cold feeling spread out across his hands and arms. He took a few deep breaths and went to pick up the boulder.

..... He couldn't move it

This realization came to him very fast. The elder looked at Yip An with a face of disappointment. However, you could see a face of astonishment on his face form immediately after. When Yip An couldn't pick up the boulder he immediately picked up the boulder with his feet. He was holding the stone boulder with one foot one the ground and both of his legs were at a 180 degrees to each other. A hulking stone boulder was being lifted by this guys feet!

Everyone was astonished at the scene. Even Yip An himself was amazed at his performance. What heavenly strength was actually hidden away within his legs? Maybe it was an ancient bloodline? Many people thought so. A commotion was stirring up within the crowd.

Some people were thinking that he wouldn't be able to survive the full 10 minutes.

He was only 2 minutes in.

Then it was 4 minutes.

5 minutes.

8 minutes.

But then finally after 10 minutes after holding up a stone boulder he finally lifted the boulder back down to the ground.

"Are you okay?", asked a person who approached Yip An.

"I got a sore leg but apart from that I'm okay" replied Yip An with a nonchalant expression.

Everyone was even shocked even further! This kid had actually just lifted up a stone boulder without breaking a sweat with one leg. Everyone that successfully lifted the stone boulder all had grim expressions after the 10 minutes. All of them had either nearly collapsed or couldn't walk. It was that hard. This was a moment that decided their destiny. Nobody was willing to not use all their effort in their test.

Yip An then just sat under a tree nearby the exam was being held. This tree had a sort of tranquil feel to it. The feeling that made you feel at home.
