Where You Are

Min-Joon and I faced each other. I looked at him with an expression asking for help, but he just shrugged. I looked at how he was holding his board. It was strange. He was holding it with 3 fingers. Then he held it with 2 and then with 5.

Was his birthday March 25? I wrote the numbers and when we had to show it, our answers matched. Which made me sigh in relief. The other couple had a strike.

Then came the question of favorite colors. I whispered to Min-Joon "I like your shirt" he raised his eyebrows and grinned.

The next few questions were pretty simple that the other couples failed to answer.

When it was only two couples left. The question was "When is your anniversary?"

Min-Joon looked around at the sky and the ground, then gazed at me. He nodded at me, I smiled.

When it was time to show our answers. Both of us wrote 'today' while the other couple's answers differed.

"We have the winning couple!" the woman yelled. The crowed cheered. I looked at Min-Joon and I raised my arms as a way of victory. I thought he'd do the same, but I guess he got the wrong idea because he quickly picked me up and we spun around. I have to admit I laughed, and he held onto me when he stopped spinning, so I still couldn't touch the ground.

"What a cute couple! Another round of applause" the woman said. She handed me the tickets as well as a pamphlet of the hotel we'll be staying at and other paperwork that I can look at later.

Min-Joon finally put me down and we continued to walk, looking for Yu-Na and Dae-Hyun "Are we really going on that vacation?" Min-Joon asked me.

I don't want to answer 'yes' to the 'we' part, so I just said "You work too much. You need this" I smiled at him. He grinned.

"Well, I can move some stuff around and we can head there next week" he told me.

Again, I didn't want to answer to the 'we' so I answered "Awesome, I'll tell Dae-Hyun and Yu-Na! The room they gave us seems to be a villa so there are bound to be more rooms. We can all hang out at the beach and eat nice food as well as sleep in a nice hotel. It'll be great" I say.

Min-Joon stopped walking "Why are you inviting other people?" he asked me. I turned around. Why is he unhappy with this? He can't hate people that much.

"You need friends" I said "And I need friends"

"I have friends. S…" he said.

I stop him before he continues speaking "Secretary Chang doesn't count as a friend" I say "He's more like a babysitter"

"Well…we…" Min-Joon crossed his arms over his c.h.e.s.t and looked away from me "We can count as each other's friends"

I widened my eyes in surprise. A smile came across my face. Becoming friends with the male lead was my objective and hearing those words come from his mouth was even better. I realized I was smiling too much so I looked away from him.

"I guess we can" I say, as I try to hide my smile. Min-Joon looked at me surprised. A grin appeared on his face.

His grin quickly disappeared when I said "I'm still inviting Dae-Hyun and Yu-Na" I continue walking forward. From the corner of my eye, I see Min-Joon's pouting face. I chuckle at that.
