Today Jane asked Harvey to dinner because she had something to ask him.

Her father had been Harvey’s university professor. Over the years, Harvey had shown him great respect.

Of all the students, Harvey was Professor Collins’ favourite.

He was intelligent and able. Professor Collins praised him as the most outstanding of all the students.

Jane always admired Harvey, but did not dare to approach him rashly.

It was because of her father’s connection that she had reason to ask Harvey out today.

And Harvey generously agreed.

Jane nerved herself and planned to ask Harvey to watch a film later.

“Are you free later?”

The man next to her did not answer.

He paused at a certain dining table.

Jane looked at him in confusion.

Harvey’s gaze rested on the fork that had accidentally fallen to the floor.

Seconds later, he leaned over and picked it up.

“Is this yours? “He handed the fork to the woman on the seat.

Vasilia pursed her lips a little unnaturally, “Thank you.”

She tried to pretend she hadn’t seen him.

But just as the man was about to come over, she accidentally swept her arm over the fork on the table. And it fell to the floor with a crunch.

Harvey handed her the fork and said warmly, “Be careful.

Vasilia’s eyelashes flickered. She reached out to take it.

Their fingertips touched again for a brief moment.

The temperature of the man’s fingertips was slightly cool. Vasilia withdrew her hand quickly, as if she had been electrocuted. She looked ahead, her slightly curled fingers seeming to reveal her inexplicable nervousness.

Harvey glanced over. He turned and walked out, his female companion at his side.

Jack glanced over, “Do you know him?”

“No.” Vasilia shook her head.

When the blind date was over, Vasilia’s mother couldn’t wait to ask her how it had gone.

Honey Peach: [Not bad. He’s just a bit young.]

Blossom & Wealth: [ It’s good to have a young man who is obedient and caring. Do you like him?]

Honey Peach: [… not really.]

Blossom & Wealth: [He just sent me a message saying that he likes you and wants to continue to be friends with you].

Vasilia put the phone down and was ready to go home.

The restaurant was not far from her house. It took Vasilia only a few minutes to drive to the entrance of the village.

The street lights cast a long shadow over her.

Vasilia felt a little playful. She kept stepping on her shadow on the ground.

Her phone vibrated and she thought it was a message from Ragin.

But it was from Libby.

Libby: [ Thank you for what you said to me that day. I had lied to myself before, thinking that no matter how much he ignored me, there was a place in his heart for me. But secretly he had so many women. It wasn’t until then that I realised he didn’t really want me in his heart, but for the benefits I brought him. Sorry to disturb you, but our wedding has been cancelled. I’m sorry. ]

It was a good thing to call off the wedding.

Although the deal was off, Vasilia had no regrets about telling Libby the truth.

If she hadn’t, she would have seen a sunny girl jump into the fire pit.

Now that she was telling Libby, she was giving her a choice.

If she was stubborn, no one could help her.

Fortunately, she kept some sense and was not completely confused by the bastard.

Vasilia felt that she had done a good deed and her mood improved.
