You Of All People

Chapter 163 - Look Forward

"(What?!)" Calvin immediately snapped his head from his plate to face the phone when he heard his sister dragging his name inside the pit he worked so hard bury Violet into.

"(You?! I'm not done with you)" scolded Tony to his son and conversed back to Violet, "(It's alright baby girl. Where are you right now?)"

"Mom knows where I am. Can I stay for a while? I wanted to spend more time with my friend. Can I Daddy? I'll go home later together with my gifts to you Daddy" Violet smiled brightly and pleaded sweetly.

All of a sudden their attention was drawn away by a clap. Lorelei stood up from her seat as soon as she saw her sons finish their meal.

"(2 hours. Send your father the coordinates. I'll have a car waiting for you outside. We're moving to an apartment today. Clean up here then go to bed. I'll be on my way)" Lorelei drew a conclusion to tonight's events and left the kitchen with Tony trailing behind her.

"Yey! Thank you Mom. I'll send it over right after the call" beamed Violet as she left her seat and jumped with joy.

"(Be good my angel. Don't make Daddy worry anymore, alright?)" conveyed Tony as he was still full of concern for his daughter.

"I will Daddy! See you both soon! And I love you both so much! Bye bye" Violet bid her parents goodbye and breathed a sigh of relief as soon as the call ended.

She was relieved that she was able to escape unscathed. She was too preoccupied with her plans to surprise Dean that she forgot her father's tendencies to go overboard when it comes to her. Her father gets especially more worst when it comes to their mother.

"The driver must have arrived early in the campus and reported to Daddy. I was too careless. I should had the driver on board with my plans first. Good thing, I was able to come up with the gift idea. Good job me!" Violet patted her shoulders to congratulate herself.

She didn't forget to send her coordinates before filling up two cups and brought it over to Karen who was having her time on stage.

Meanwhile over at the Quinn's kitchen, the two people who were left behind simultaneously stood up from their seats.

"You clean up" Zane commanded condescendingly to his little brother.

"Eh?! Why me?!" Calvin yelped instantly when he heard what his big brother said.

"What's your number?" Zane raised an eyebrow as he questioned Calvin.

"Fourth?" confusedly replied Calvin while scratching the back of his head.

"What's my number?" Zane scrunched up his eyebrows, he got stressed that his brother was slow in understanding his point.

"Fi-first? Are we really moving? What happens to my cars?! Why can't the house staff do the washing of the plates?" Calvin replied meekly.

"What? Can you go against Mom's words? I don't think so. And whose fault was it that Dad decided to move? We're just moving to an apartment in the city, we're still keeping this place. Just leave them here, comeback if you want to use your cars. Mom dismissed them early. You're the youngest here so have fun cleaning up" Zane bid Calvin farewell without looking back as he exited the kitchen. Leaving Calvin who was standing and staring at the plates.

In contrast to Violet's boisterous family, a lonesome man was eating his breakfast quietly on a table inside the Villa.

"Alfred, any news from mother? Did she receive my invitation?" asked King as he ate a spoonful of Alfred's cooking.

"She received it. She's attending a conference overseas as the country's representative. Would you like me to call her or maybe send her a message?" Alfred took out his tablet as he readied himself to send a message at King's command.

"I guess she had more important things to prioritize than her son's proposal. Let's not disturb her. What about grandfather and grandmother?"

"The Master and Madame are doing alright and will be attending tonight's event. They haven't noticed your plans for tonight. Shall I inform them?" explained Alfred as he hid his sadness for King within his eyes.

"Don't. They are already against 'her'. There's no need to complicate things and compromise my plans. There's no doubt they will immediately disapprove. It's enough that they will be attending tonight"

"Alright Young Master" replied Alfred as he poured water to King's glass.

"Alfred you can go home now. I want to be alone. See you at the venue. No need meet me here at the Villa" instructed King as he finished his food, stood up from his chair and left for his study situated upstairs.

While King made his way upstairs, he roamed his eyes to scrutinize every corner of the interior of the Villa.

"Everything's according to her liking. I look forward to seeing how happy she becomes once she sees her dream home. I hope she comes" whispered King as he made his way through the dark halls up stairs.

Once he was inside his home office, he sat himself down then buried himself in work in order to keep his mind occupied and not think of the possibility 'she' might not attend.

The place was shrouded by darkness as only one room situated on the second level was lit up. The Villa that could host hundreds of people, it was solely inhabited by one man.

At the crack of dawn, lights slowly seeped out from the horizon as the sun made it's entrance together with the morning star as it's usherette. Signaling the start of a new day. In dribs and drabs, the sun rays dyed wherever it touches.

After having the time of her life for two hours, Violet checked the time in her phone.

"Here, drink this Violet it will help" Karen approached Violet while hugging bottles on her bosom. Karen stooped downwards, low enough for Violet to pick out her drink.

"Drinks filled with Vitamin C helps in sobering up. I read from somewhere that taking 1000mg of Vitamin C helps with hungover or better yet just get some sleep" remarked Karen as she dropped the bottles on the bench and grabbed one to open then drink it herself.
