Copy that!”

The moment Jiang Yunuan was about to leave, there came someone reporting from the outside, “Your Majesty, General Feng is waiting to see you.”

Hearing that, they two looked at each other for a second. Jian Yunuan held his chin, thinking, “Feng Xue? Why is he coming here at this time?”

Something seemed to pop out in Ye Shengxuan’s mind, and he completely hid the coldness in his eyes, “Let him in.”

Soon, Feng Xue in his official uniform walked into the room vigorously.

“Greetings, Your Majesty.” Feng Xue showed his respect to Ye Shengxuan with one of his knees on the floor.

Ye Shengxuan raised his hand, “Get up.”

Before he was about to ask the reason why Feng Xue came here, Feng Xue beat him to say, “Your Majesty, please allow me to go with Mr. Jiang to bring Her Highness back.”

Both Ye Shengxuan and Jiang Yunuan were stunned by his request.

“For what?” Ye Shengxuan looked at Feng Xue with his eyebrows frowned as if he wanted to get some clues him.

“Concubine Xian…” Feng Xue pursed his lips and answered after long hesitation, “She…she is my older sister!”

Back to the time when Helian Chacha was in the name of Lin Dagou, he had already recognized her. After that, he went back home rummaging the old portraits of his sister. And he finally confirmed the person he came across in the imperial garden was Feng Siluan through repeatedly checking the portraits.

He had planned to tell Helian Chacha about it, but Helian Chacha had forged her identity as a eunuch, which was a serious crime of deceiving the emperor. That’s why he dared not tell her easily.

However, before he got to save Helian Chacha from the trouble of being a eunuch, she got herself trapped as a concubine.

And now, the rumor that she had eloped with Chu Jianmo spread.

He had been extremely worried and anxious at home. After having regained his composure through the entire night, he finally decided to come clean with Ye Shengxuan.

“What are you talking about?” Ye Shengxuan grabbed his collars, “Is all you said true?”

“I dare not deceive you, Your Majesty. She is indeed my sister, Feng Siluan.”

“Whoah!” Jiang Yunuan clapped his hands, “If that is true, this is gonna be a wonderful show. Everybody who knows the Feng Family and the Chu Family sees it clearly that Chu Jianmo and Feng Siluan have been really close since their childhood. Such being the case, the eloping charge is very likely to be true.”

Right after that, Jian Yunuan could feel someone staring at him with his burning eyes. He looked up and found it was Ye Shengxuan who was looking at him calmly.

He waved his hands immediately, “Alright, forget it.”

When Jiang Yunuan finally became reticent, Ye Shengxuan turned around and looked at Feng Xue, “General Feng, I can’t let you go with him.”

“Why?” Feng Xue was really startled.

‘Isn’t it reasonable enough for him to go?’

Ye Shengxuan stood up slowly and walked towards him tapping his shoulders, “Chu Jianmo is not as simple-minded as you think. If she was not your sister, I probably would allow you to go. But now, I can’t bear to put both the daughter and the son of my former general in danger.”

Then, he waved at him, “Just leave.”

“Your Majesty, please let me go.” Feng Xue kneeled on the ground reluctant to leave.

Hearing that, Ye Shengxuan’s eyebrows gritted immediately, and his eyes were now filled with coldness, “Are you trying to defy my decree?”

For an instant, the atmosphere of the entire Yangxin Hall cooled down; even the air was feeling like frozen.

Looking at Ye Shengxuan and then Feng Xue, Jiang Yunuan stepped up to persuade Feng Xu, “General Feng, I know you’re worried about your sister, but this mission is not as simple as you might imagine. Don’t worry. I assure you to bring your sister back safe and sound, okay?”

Feng Xue looked up at them and gnashed his teeth as he clenched his fists in the sleeves, saying to Ye Shengxuan, “I am leaving now, Your Majesty.”

Looking at Feng Xue’s back, Jiang Yunuan shook his head with a sigh, “I didn’t expect that the Feng Family cherishes their family ties so much.”

“What are you still doing here?” Ye Shengxuan raised his eyebrows, “Shall I arrange you for a fancy palanquin?”

“I’ll take my men to  chase them right now.”

Then, he went out of the hall as well.

Meanwhile, Helian Chacha went all the way to the east with Chu Jianmo, and they soon arrived at the south of the Yangtze River.

The river town in early autumn was still green. Perhaps amid the change of seasons, the sky was overcast. It was drizzly, and people on the streets were all holding their oil paper umbrellas, which betrayed undescribable beauty.

As their carriage entered the market, she was resting herself on the window overlooking the view outside.

Vendors were touting, women were bargaining, and kids were running around at will. Besides, there were fishermen in bamboo hats and young girls holding oil paper umbrellas.

That was exactly what she had been looking forward to- the life of being ordinary.

“Jianmo,” She turned around excitedly and looked at the gentleman beside, “Can we settle down here?”

Chu Jianmo was stunned, but soon he put on his normal face and asked her casually, “You like it here?”

Helian Chacha nodded without hesitation.

“Well… Let’s see. If there are no more people following us, we can settle down here.” He caressed the head of Helian Chacha fondly, “What do you say?”

Hearing that, Helian Chacha was a little disappointed, and she muttered, “I do hope they would never come after us.”

But she always had the feeling that Ye Shengxuan would never let them go no matter how far he had to chase after them as far as his temperaments’ concerned.

The thought of Ye Shengxuan remindedher of the scene she had witnessed that night in Yangxin Hall.

What had happened to him? He seemed to be quite painful back then. Had he been poisoned?

“Siluan, we are here.”

“Ah?” She came to her senses all of a sudden, only to find out that the carriage had stopped already, and Chu Jianmo had got out of the carriage standing down there reaching out for her, trying to help her down.

She put her hand into Chu Jianmo’s immediately and walked out of the carriage while holding her dress.

It’s either Chu Jianmo had always been so extravagant, or he just wanted to make up for the last night that he had her put up in a shabby temple. That’s why he chose the most expensive inn in this town.

The decoration of this hotel was quite luxurious with many white gauze curtains in the lobby. All the servants were young girls, each of whom was in flimsy clothes and covering their faces with a piece of gauze. In the middle of their forehands was a red pendant, which made them look quite exotic.

That explained the pricey charge in this inn; t must have cost much money to have these young girls as servants.

As soon as they walked into the inn, a young girl stepped up to them, “Hi, my guests. Would you like to have a meal or put up here overnight?”

“We would like to stay for the night,” Chu Jianmo looked around the inn for a while, “Three superior rooms.”

Hearing this, the young girl’s eyes were suddenly brightened as if she was looking at a money-spinner. She got back to him in delight, “No problem. This way, please.”

“Please watch out the stairs.” The young girl led them upstairs.

Helian Chacha looked around on the way up.

Despite being the most expensive inn in this river town, there were quite a lot of people dining here. However, judging from their attire, it was not difficult to tell that they were all either rich or powerful.

Indeed, the rich could enjoy their life in a different way from the poor. For those vendors outside, they would squabble with someone for 15 minutes for the sake of a copper coin, while for these people here, they would spend thousands in a second without any hesitation.

That was why people always said, “Do not compare yourself to others easily; otherwise, you will know how much worse you would be.”

While she was looking around, the young girl leading the way started to make introduction to them, “Our superior guest rooms are all on the third floor with quite surroundings, where you also can appreciate the stunning and fantastic view of the whole river town through the windows. Usually, we cannot even guarantee people with great fortune to be able to get these rooms. Fortunately, this is not our peak season these days. You are being so lucky.”

Bang!

Someone suddenly smashed down on the floor from the roof.

Chu Jianmo took a few steps back while protecting Helian Chacha, “Who is it?”
