Lucky Riot And The Mystic Dragon

Chapter 66 - Sancho the Madman

"Y… Ev…You!" Sancho Baldez was so infuriated and horrified that he couldn't get his words out. He suddenly beat heavily on his own c.h.e.s.t like a mad ape before yelling imperiously, "Fine, Riot! To death, you coward! To DEATH! Die NOW!"

Sancho Baldez refused to believe that Evan, who was as strong as himself, was slaughtered so quickly by this punk's strength alone. It was obviously some kind of trick or foul play! At least, that's the logic Sancho used to reassure himself. At any rate, he must now kill Kasino, or the punk would kill him instead! F.u.c.k the torture, it was now kill on sight!

"Die!"

"Get him, guys, go!!"

"You killed boss Evan, you bastard!"

Sancho and the two remaining thugs all attacked with their weapons menacingly. Meanwhile, Lucky Riot kept chanting obscurely as runes formed of his mana manifested and merged with the mystic wand that had appeared in his hand at some point. The mystic wand was shining with a bright white light and dripping with active mana. The swords of the two goons came slicing down, one sword was covered in ice while the other had a savage gleam to it.

"Ice force and metal force, huh? Not good enough though," Lucky Riot stopped chanting, and a pale scarlet mana shield appeared in front of him. This was his [Light Shield] spell taking effect. He used his qi to hold the light shield on his forearm and easily repelled the swords of his opponents.

Before he could make another move, a long polearm swept out at Lucky's head aggressively, easily shattering his light shield! Lucky retreated backward in shock, barely escaping the polearm. Sancho moved his polearm expertly and swiftly stabbed it out, aiming at Lucky's skull. He wanted to smash this punk's head into a meat patty and feed it to his school's cafeteria. Spiraling flame qi wrapped around the pole tip, baring its fangs like a fire serpent!

The force of the strike instantly increased by 40%!

"Flame strike!"

Seeing this, Lucky once again sneered in disdain. A scarlet barrier of primal rebound force covered his body like an extra layer of skin.

Royal Guard!

*BoinG!*

*Shatter*

A green light film surrounded Sancho Baldez before shattering. Sancho got rebounded and launched vertically in a comical matter, before flipping himself correctly in midair. He immediately started to chant, flaming red spell runes dancing in front of him wildly. Lucky had to be a bit impressed by this relentless fellow. Of course, he didn't waste this chance to use profound instinct and memorize the spell that was being chanted by his opponent. Sancho was coming at him nonstop since the start of the fight, so this was his first chance to steal his opponent's techniques! This was an idea Lucky had been playing with, but he never had an opponent to test it on.

Meanwhile, Sancho was in dismay. This attack that he threw his entire weight and strength into somehow rebounded him like a rubber wall. The force of Sancho's attack got thrown right back at him. If it weren't for the profound formation on his battle armor, Sancho would've been gravely injured. Lucky was basically a rubber wall he couldn't penetrate!

"Take this, my Rank 2 fire spell! [Blaze Ball]!" yelled Sancho Baldez, having just finished chanting a Rank 2 spell. Sancho had trained this spell to the initial level, boosting the power of his intelligence and wisdom by 30%. The profound stage weapon in his hands further increased his stats by 15%. In fact, Sancho was already at his wit's end. This move could be said to be his trump card. After this attack, his combat strength would drop in multiple ways. His polearm made creaking sounds as two small cracks ran down the side. A massive fireball condensed on the tip of the polearm.

Sancho poured all his mystic strength into the polearm as the fireball shot towards Lucky like a rocket.

"[Blaze Ball]... this will come in handy," Lucky felt the terrifying heat qi from this spell and knew that he would be injured if it hit him directly. Lucky finished memorizing the incantation for this spell, as well as the flow of mana and qi required to activate it. If this were simply fire, Lucky wouldn't fear it. However, the mystic essence strength supporting these magical flames was slightly intimidating, "Did he use his profound weapon to boost the force of his spell the same way a wand works? Dangerous…"

Mystic weapons couldn't really handle the might of powerful spells, they would be destroyed from the inside out. This was the reason that wands were so painstakingly invented. However, if one was willing to risk it, then the effects of boosting the force within the spell could be terrifying! There was no way to know precisely how much the spell would be augmented.

Lucky cast his movement mystic art and rapidly sped 80 meters away. The [Blaze Ball] spell impacted the earth, which trembled for miles, causing Lucky to tumble into a roll before regaining his balance. He was covered in dust as he sat up straight, "So this a Rank 2 spell. So then wouldn't a third rank spell be capable of wiping a sector of the city out?"

Lucky had a brand new appreciation for the strength of the Academy's teachers. Magic was truly intimidating.

At this moment, Sancho Baldez hurdled towards Lucky from the sky. He fell like a meteor with fierce momentum and slammed down with his polearm! Lucky felt exasperated with this Baldez guy. If Lucky were just a little weaker, this guy would be a bit of a problem indeed. Sancho was relentless in his attacks, a true warrior. Sancho had never let up once since the fight started.

Now, however, Sancho Baldez could only serve as a warning. Lucky Riot needed to become stronger, or he might not stay so fortunate! He glared at the approaching attack chanting obscurely, all while taking the stance of the first style of the Water God Fist Art. Water magic runes condensed from his mana and fell into his two fists, where they merged with his primal qi and gave it a water attribute.

This the magical ability of the Rank 1 [Sploosh] spell! It could produce water element magic runes, enhancing the ability of water attributed mystic arts, such as the Water God Fist art!

This was the debut of another new technique Lucky had made for himself. Gritting his teeth, Lucky moved mystically as he sent out one hundred waves of combinations with his fist. He moved with the force of a sudden avalanche.

Collapsing Waves Fist: Barrage of One Hundred Waves!

Dozens of primal water essence fists shot into the sky like machinegun fire. Sancho Baldez was overwhelmed with punch after punch filled with primal water power that bruised his flesh and fractured his bones all over his body. Because of the nature of Lucky's water element mana, each punch felt heavy and insulated. It felt like rubber gloves filled with bricks pounding him at 100 miles per hour. The polearm slipped out of his hand, but just before he lost consciousness, his eyes widened in horror. Appearing above himself, who was already 10 meters in the air, was none other than Lucky Riot!

Above Lucky, the Twin Drakes twirled like a helicopter before he sent it chopping down, surrounded by exploding primal ki!

Bang!

Sancho Baldez was sent crashing into the ground, his limbs twisted mangled. He struggled to climb out of the pit he just made as he coughed out mouthfuls of blood repeatedly. Lucky landed roughly on his feet next to the hole and rushed in to kick the hell out of Sancho's jaw, sending him crashing through the earth and sliding 20 meters away.

Lucky had to admit, this Sancho Baldez was indeed a tough cookie. Any initial Profound Orb Stage practitioner would likely need to galvanize their profound essence orb before they could defeat Sancho. As for Lucky, his fists were heavy enough.

From behind, a sword tried to stab into Lucky's throat. But how could he not notice this given the strength of his perceptive force? He swayed to the left and barely dodged the blade, before turning and whipping his leg out like a poisonous serpent!

Celestial Serpent Whip!

The sounds of bones breaking could be heard with every kick that landed on the sneaky thug's body. After Lucky's legs stopped moving, the thug collapsed lifelessly to the ground like a boiled noodle. Lucky grabbed the thug's sword and stored it away in his space bracelet.

The other thug saw this and immediately turned to flee. However, how could Lucky let him run away? The thug was shocked to see a serpent made of mystic light flash in front of him before everything went scarlet.

"Fire Strike?! Impossible! How could you?!" Before Sancho could reel in shock, a nun-chunk covered in fiery energy pierced through his skull. Lucky only managed to mimic 30% of Sancho's flame strike mystic skill, but it seemed like this was enough to seal the deal.
