After spending the whole night pulling off her wide connections to confirm the reliability of the recent gossip news, finally Casey managed to gather some useful info that she could use in her meeting with Mia Wilson. Now it was the time to make her move which took her around one hour and half to reach the place. It was at Aunt Su's house since Mia had been recuperating there.

Casey arrived earlier than the promised time but Mia seemed to have been prepared for her arrival as Mia had been waiting at the veranda since morning. Aunt Su currently was not at home. She went out to do some grocery shopping and yet to come back.

Mia greeted Casey with her faint smile and invited Casey into the house before excusing herself to the kitchen to make tea for the guest. Meanwhile Casey took the chance to observe the surrounding with her eyes wildly scanned around the living room.

One of the easy way to know a person's character was by analysing the person's behaviour such as the way he/she talked, their body language or their fashion style but these can be very deceiving as these aspects could be controlled or changed according to the person's motive. Not many people knew that the way they structured their house could giveaway a subtle clue to who they were. This method was less likely to be manipulated as humans paid more attention to themselves and only a few well observant people exist.

As what she saw, the house interior was simple and plain. The only thing that stood out was the bookshelves. They were full of books and no empty space at all which visually represented the close ties between the owner and the books. But knowing the fact that this house was owned by Aunt Su, this analysis was useless as it wasn't related to her client. While Casey was busy with her thoughts, Mia came back to the living room with the hot tea.

"Here, the tea." Mia gently placed the tea cup on the table in front of Casey. As normal, Casey returned the gesture by placing her lips on the edge of the cup and politely sipped the tea.

"Is your injury getting better?"

"Yeah... much better..."

"That's good to hear. I'm sorry to disturb your recovery time but I came with good intention."

"Yeah, I'm well aware with your intention. Mr Sullivan had told me before. My apologise for not accepting your visit last time. I know that you're very busy person so I won't take much of your time. Let me be frank to you once for all. The person that needs your help isn't me but my former husband, Damien O'Ryan."

WHATTT???

"Again? You said.. what?" Hearing the unbelievable words uttered by this lady, Casey was speechless and unable to receive them comprehensively.

"I know this is so absurd and foolish but justice is for everyone, right? Regardless of that person's social status. Whether he/she is poor or rich, everyone deserves to be treated the same way. Just like what you've been doing so far to the needy people who sought for justice, Damien needs your help as well."

"I... I... Oh my god. This is so ridiculous. Even if he isn't wrong, he doesn't need outsider's help. His family can do that. Why are you speaking for him? Didn't he..."

"Our matter isn't like what the public said. Why do you think someone like him would marry a woman from the lower status and even maintain this nonsense marriage for the whole three years?"

Their marriage... Was there hidden story behind their marriage?

"I guess you've read yesterday's gossip highlight and I bet you know the situation better than me. Do you think the photo got leak just like that? The one who needs help right now is him not me. I'll give you his current exact location and I hope you can do this favour on my behalf."

"If so, do you think he's willing to accept my help? Plus, I don't think he's gonna trust me. The trip is going to be useless and I don't want to waste my time and energy for something that's uncertain."

"Then why do you agree for this meet up? Are you sure that I'm going to accept your help and go against one of the powerful families in this city? Aren't you blinded by your own judgement and thought that someone like them should be attacked not to be defended? Have you ever thought that they also need to protect something that's so precious for them hence they're willing to do whatever they can for it?"

Speechless. Casey didn't know how to react to this argument. This lady was right but...

"Okay... Okay... I'll accept whatever you're saying right now but I need you to back me up with some reliable evidence so that whatever I'll be doing afterwards whether helping him or not won't go in vain."

Although it was uncertain whether Casey would offer help to Damien or not, Mia believed that Casey would still look for Damien regardless of the outcome. So Mia told the true story as per the condition.

Casey attentively listened to her but the more she heard about the O'Ryan's matters, the more confused she was. It seemed that she needed more time to clearly digest the shocking info into her head.

"Aren't you afraid that I might record our conversation and use this info against your request? You'll be in trouble if I do that and the O'Ryan's will hunt you forever."

"You easily trust people and sometimes it will backfire you."

Mia didn't make further comment. She just smiled and her eyes reflected subtle tenderness.

Seeing the vague expression in Mia's eyes, Casey hoped that she won't fall into O'Ryan's trap. Who knew if this meetup was set by that family to avoid her targeting them. Casey's hard work last night was somehow wasted. She pulled an all-nighter to find some dirt on the person who turned out to be needing her help, not the other way around based on this lady's story.
