Tut... tut...

"Hello?"

"Yes Ms Wilson. What can I help you?"

"I... I... Mr O'Sullivan, I agree to your deal. I'm willing to work for you. Please I want to meet with my biological parents." She stuttered as she delivered her intention of calling him. Her voice was weak and lack of confidence but audible to the other party.

"Oh! I thought you gonna ask Ms Hugh to help you this round. What makes you change your mind? Mind to share with me?"

"Like I've said to you before, I believe you have the capability to make my wish comes true and indeed Aurora can't help me as much as you can. Therefore, it's no harm to take the risk. Plus I guess you've predicted this outcome since you also left your contact card along with Ms Hugh's."

"Alright. Since you've made up your mind, I shall not question your judgement. Start packing up and in a few days someone will fetch you."

Tut... Tut..

After Casey left the house, Mia felt a slight relief on her c.h.e.s.t. Earlier this morning, she was overwhelmed with mixed emotions inside her. She didn't have much confidence on her plan but something inexpressible had pushed her to be this brave. She had declined Casey's offer to help her and instead gave away that chance to the person she least expected and may not even need her small kindness. This huge twist had left her defenceless and put her into a loop of contemplation.

Now, she only left with one choice which was to seek help from Noah O'Sullivan. Before making the call, she tried to brainwash herself for the last time that this decision was the best she could ever think of. Although it was risky, this option gave the quickest result compared to asking protection from Aurora's right wing. That what prompted her to decline Casey's good intention. Not wanting to dwell on the matter for so long, she picked up her phone and dialled the intended number.

As for the other party, the phone call ended with a satisfaction. Noah put on his confident smirk while he was on the phone. It turned out his decision to slip his contact along with the Casey's contact card when he went to the hospital last week gave him an upper hand. This woman... she knew how to read between the lines and her choice this time surpassed his expectation. It seemed that her longing to meet her real parents was genuine to the extent she was willing to take the riskiest option. It was a smart move but came with huge sacrifice.

Soon after he ended the call, he dialled the top number in his contact list. The receiver picked up his call after only one ringing.

"What's up?" The voice came through the smart mobile phone sounded hoarse, gave off a lazy vibe.

"Is your training school open for enrolment?"

"Why are you asking? Got any suitable candidates?"

"I have someone for you to train. If she manage to survive in that environment, she can be our greatest pawn."

"Female? Rarely you ask me to groom a female apprentice but don't worry. I guarantee you, in the next three months, she's prepared for any mission. You can send her to my place once I give you the greenlight."

"Good. One more thing, do you find anything on that boyfriend of Hannah Douglas?"

"Ahh about that... I did but I think you should consult your old grandfather first before you make any move on that guy."

"Huh? He knew my grandpa?"

"Not so much on the surface but if you were to dig in his past connection, he used to be your grandpa's assistant."

"Are you sure?"

"Why are you asking me? You should pay visit to your old grandpa and ask him. After all, he did pull some strings to cover up this info. Oh! Before I forget, since in the next three months I'll be busy training your new kid, please refrain from asking me investigate these kind of matters. Ciao!"

The phone connection was cut off abruptly before Noah could further respond. It was obvious that the other party refused to elaborate more about it and even subtly told him off to stop disturbing the other party in regards of that boyfriend of Hannah Douglas.

Out of all possible scenario he could imagine, he didn't expect that his grandpa once used to associate with that guy. If this info was true, it meant that that guy had a strong backing. People who were currently or previously involved with his grandpa normally came from unknown and yet powerful background. No wonder Oscar, Noah's reliable assistant couldn't find much information to the extent Noah needed Nick's help to investigate about that guy.

Yeah... the person Noah called just now was Nick. Only Nick was brave enough to cut off the phone call just like that. But that wasn't an issue between two of them. What was more troublesome was that Nick wasn't willing to share more information about that Hannah Douglas's boyfriend. This reaction of Nick somehow explained how Hannah Douglas started to get involve with drugs.

Considering Nick's wide connections in the underground world, no wonder he managed to find this piece of information but to give further details about that guy to Noah was a big NO for Nick to do that. Although they were like a sworn brothers, there was still a boundary between them. After all, they both came from two different worlds.

However, it was enough for Noah to know where he should start dig into the matter with the tip given by Nick. It seemed that he needed to push forward his visit to the old mansion if he didn't want to get the short end of the stick. But if he chose to return back to the old mansion, his grandpa would perceive him as raising the white flag over their disagreement. Then, all his efforts this entire time would be useless and he had no longer be independent from the O'Sullivan's empire. Obviously, this wasn't an outcome that Noah wanted. But did he has another choice?
