"Shusshhh... It's me... Don't scream or my ears will go deaf... What are you doing here at this hour? Everyone should be in their dorm as of right now.. Don't you know that you're breaking the rules? What if it's Dean that found you guys? You want to get punished again huh?!" Jayden whispered into Jane's ear as he moved closer to her.

Jane sighed in relief when she recognized the owner of that voice. Why did his eyes so red? At first, Jane thought that a ghost decided to play a prank on her since she was still outside at this hour. Well, there was a reason behind the curfew set at 10.45 pm and the rumour says this place was actually a hunted school. After the curfew, the ghosts would start to roam around and disturb anyone that they had bumped into.

"Let me go! You're hurting me." hissed Jane as she tried to pull out her hand from Jayden's grip. Quickly Jayden loosed his clutch.

At that moment, the back door of the training hall finally opened and Mia's face came into their sight. Mia was surprised to see Senior Jayden stood beside Jane and thought that they had been caught by him. Panicking, Mia swallowed a lump of the bitter saliva down her dry throat as she started to sweat in nervousness. Today was totally not her lucky day. All day bad lucks had been following her around.

Early in the morning she had to deal with Jane's frequent mood swings which were so terrifying and she almost peed in her pants because of that. Then, she was called up to the warden office and being punished by Senior Dean with the silent treatment. Next, the worst she ever done today was offended her own master but that one she partly disagreed as the other party was also guilty and because of this matter, she was bullied by those five abusive seniors and had to run for thirty minutes. Lastly, she got stuck outside as the curfew already begun by the time she regained her energy back and here she was, standing in front of Senior Jayden as she was caught red-handed by him for breaking the rule.

"Oh dear... you're just new in this school but you had been breaking so many rules..." Jayden commented as he was shocked to see it was Mia that unlocked the door. This new kid surely had topped the chart as the most troublemaker student in this school in just two days.

"Hehe... please cut me some slack as you'll be seeing me more often after today..." plead Mia with her puppy eyes. Shamelessly, Mia asked for leniency. She was so tired and couldn't afford to be punished anymore. She had experienced more than her body and her heart could take for today.

Jayden could only shook his head. He thought that only Jane was brave enough to act rebellious but then another student joined her. This duo was really a headache.

"Jayden!" A hoarse voice suddenly called his name from afar. Instantly, Jayden pushed both of them into the training hall and closed the door. By the time, he calmed himself down and turned around, his eyes met his partner on duty.

"Dean! What do you do here? I've checked this place. Everything's normal..."

"I waited for you at the office but you took quite a while to finish the last round inspection for tonight so I decided to check if something might happen during your round."

"No! No! Don't worry. I've got everything in my control. We... we... should go now. I'm sleepy." Jayden pretended to yawn as he pulled Dean's left arm along his way. His pace quickened and his heart was beating faster. He wasn't good at lying especially at Dean so before his lie got exposed, he must get him out of here before Dean noticed the other party there.

Believing his partner's words, Dean just followed behind as he got dragged by Jayden. But his gut told him that something was amiss. The vibe around that area somehow attracted his 'agent' instinct to further inspect the place but if he were to do that, his partner might feel dishearten as his action might imply that he didn't trust his partner.

KETINGGGG!!!

The loud and high-pitched sound as if something metallic fell on the floor resonated in the air. Instantly, Dean was on his guard and stopped to look for the source of that sound. His eyes scanned the area in the dark and landed at the big tank located at the opposite of the back door of the training hall. He gave a secret signal to Jayden but this caused cold sweat broke out on Jayden's forehead. At such crucial moment, why did that thing fell down?

Dean moved closer step by step to that tank and saw a subtle trace left on the ground. The tank had been moved from its original place! Although the surrounding was dark, Dean's sharp eyes could still function well as if he had a superpower to see things including the smallest object in the dark and he was well known for this special ability.

He then looked around the tank to check what had fallen off but he found nothing. Could it be that he misheard the sound? Or....

'Darn! How could I be so stupid! If something metallic fell on the ground outside the hall, it won't produce that kind of sound as the ground outside was a hard soil. The sound should come from the training hall instead.' Dean thought of this as he slapped his head hard for being so stupid and not realised this sooner. Someone must have been inside of the hall so Dean made his way to the back door of the hall before proceeding to unlock the door.

Jayden started to get restless seeing his partner headed to the door. He must do something to stop Dean!
