"Fuh! We're saved ... for now..."

Relief pouring through them as both Jayden and Dean left the back area of the training hall. The cat had saved them from the punishment. At the very important moment, that black cat, out of nowhere, appeared while dragging its small metal bowl, presumably where its food usually put on.

The cat used to roam around the dining hall with its bowl and the kitchen staff would set aside some food for that cat but lately, it had been missing and now, it appeared at the most needed time. A perfect accomplice for their crime. Well, it wasn't a total crime but just some naughty act done out of desperation. They were forced to disobey the curfew time due to the childish trap done by those abusive seniors.

"Then, are we gonna wait here till morning?"

"Hopefully no. Let's pray Senior Jayden will come and rescue us from overnight in this place. I don't want to spend my night with the ghosts."

"Ghosts? What ghosts? I haven't heard any of this kind of horror stories about this school."

"You're making your first mistake just at the right time... giving them an opportunity to torture you in the name of ghosts..."

" You... mean.. this is their real intention? They want me to experience the first hand encounter with the ghosts?" asked Mia as she felt chilly running down her spine. The cold air somehow further dropped and increased the coldness of the night. Was this place really hunted?

Afraid of the ghosts, Mia moved closer to Jane and narrowed their gap to none. She didn't want to be left alone with the ghosts so she must make sure Jane was with her all the time. But she had forgotten that Jane....

Jane said in a serious voice. Her eyes turned sharp and fire blazed out of them, almost burning Mia to death. "Get your a.s.s away from me... at least 100 metres or..."

"Oh my! You're just fine earlier. You even helped to carry me to here and now you want to feed me to the ghosts.. where's your loyalty?!" Mia cried out seeing this so-called loyal friend betrayed her because of the ghosts.

Jane just rolled her eyes in annoyance and gave order to Mia.

"You stay here. Guard the door. I'll go check for Senior Jayden through the window."

"What?! You gonna leave me alone here? You're just trying to dispose me so that you'll have a very cozy night date with Senior Jayden is it?!!!"

Grrrrr.... If looks really could kill, by now Mia had died being shot by Jane's sharp gaze.

In the end, Jane was keen to leave her behind. Mia had no choice but to rely on the dim light hanging on the ceiling to protect her from the ghosts. Oh wait! If she could turn on all the lights in this hall, the ghosts surely won't disturb her since they were afraid of the lights!

'That's a good idea. So I need to find where is the switch box but how can I walk around in this darkness... My eye visions are limited...' Mia thought to herself as she looked around the place. She had never been to this area before so it must be at the backstage of the training hall. The area was a lot smaller than the hall's size but it was clean. The stuff were arranged neatly so it gave a 'spacious' look.

Mia then moved away from the door and with her timid feet, her pace was very slow like a snail moving or perhaps, it was faster than her. She was on her guard so even the slightest movement around her like the mosquitoes flied near her ears gave her heart fright that it was almost jumped out of the c.h.e.s.t.

She stretched out her hands and touched everything around her to guide her to the switch box. Most of the things were boxes and some unrecognized items. She just hoped they weren't ghosts' heads or hands or whatever scary... The blowing sound of the night air made her more alarmed as she began to panic...

"Oh god! Where's the switch box? I need the lights..." she muttered to herself.

Out of blue, all of the lights lighted up merrily and caused her eyes to be blinded for a few seconds because of the sudden change of the dark surrounding to bright lightings. It took awhile for Mia to adjust eyes to the new surrounding and by the time, she got used to it, a girl in a majestic white robe appeared from behind the stack boxes. The appearance as if she was an angel came down from the heaven and the halo vibe surrounded her.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness. Pardon my mistake. I'll make sure to protect you better this time. I'll stand by near you in case you need my assistance. I shall punish myself by training harder. Forgive me, Your Highness.." The girl in that white robe bowed her kneeled down unexpectedly and bowed her head lower as she talked in a very humble tone.

This arose a confusion and Mia felt like she was being trolled by those naughty ghosts. Definitely it was the ghosts' doings! They were playing with her to make her running in fear. Mia was very confident of this so she won't back down. If she could offend the most feared person in this school, why should she be scared of this ghost!

So she clenched her hands tightly as she gathered the courage in her. She raised her right pointy finger and pointed it towards the girl and said in a ferocious voice, "You! Don't you dare to disturb me or I'll make you burn in hell and cannot get out of it. Stop pulling pranks on people here! If you really want to entertain yourself, you can disturb those five seniors who make me trap outside here at this hour..."

Mia tried her best to not show how nervous she was so she spat everything out under a single breath. She noticed the girl who had her hand hung low trembled slightly so she guessed that her scolding worked well so she continued, " You ghost! Scram and don't show yourself anymore!"
