"Your Highness!! Please pardon my mistake." The girl finally lifted her head but her eyes widened in shock. The white undertone of her skin turned paler and the cold sweats started to fall down to her cheeks as she was pleading nervously. She looked serious with her jade black eyes.

Seeing this, Mia became unsure. She took a closer look at the girl and realised how pretty the girl was. The black eyebrows, round eyes, pointy nose and oval face shaped.. they seemed real. Usually, ghosts would appear in their ugly faces to scare the people off but this girl was way far above the standard.

Mia blinked her eyes a few times and kept staring on the girl who was still at one knee down on the floor. "You... you..." Mia stuttered as she extended her shaky hand forward and slowly touched the girl's face. It wasn't an illusion. The girl was real.

"You.. you're not ghost? You... human?"

"Your highness, I'm...."

"Mia!!" A loud familiar female voice shouted from afar cut off what the girl was about to say. In instant, the girl stood up and bowed her head out of respect before disappeared into a thin air just like that. Her swift movement rendered Mia speechless. On the third thought, Mia became confused again. Was this girl a ghost or a real human being?

"Mia!! Why did you turn on the lights? You really want us to get caught is it?! Oh my god! How can you be so d..."

"Sshushhhh! You... you should be the one to be blamed. If you know that I'm this dumb, why did you leave me alone? I was about to interrogate the ghost but you had chased her away before she answered me." Mia retorted.

"What? Ghost? You what?!!" Jane was so dumbfounded with the nonsense she just heard. Who the hell wanted to even talk with the ghosts? This was the first time she met the bravest person who wished to get connected with the ghosts. Was Mia a paranormal exorcist?

"Carolyn!!! Help me. Something must be wrong with this new kid. Wuuu~~~" cried Jane helplessly.

"Carolyn!! You're here. Finally!! Oh my god, I miss you.." In contrast, Mia welcomed Carolyn in joy when Carolyn appeared in her sight. She descended the staircase that connected to the window after jumped in through the window and said, "Haih.. both of you, stop bickering. Let's get out of here first."

"How did you know that we're here?" asked Mia curiously. She thought that only Senior Jayden that knew their hiding place unless either Senior Jayden told Carolyn or Carolyn must have followed them.

"Senior Jayden came and tell me to rescue you guys before Senior Dean comes back. He looked a bit dissatisfied when his suspicion was dismissed by the cat's appearance. He'll be back soon so let's go back to our room before that happens." Carolyn urged both of them to get moving while answered Mia's enquiry.

"It's all her fault. She's the one that hit that unknown thing. If not, Senior Dean won't realised that we're inside her." blamed Jane while pointing finger to Mia with a clear unhappiness on her face.

"Nooo!! I told you that it wasn't me. I didn't move at all after Senior Jayden shoved us in." Mia tried to defend herself but Carolyn intervened again.

"Stop! Our most priority is to get to our room safely. If you guys want to keep fighting, do that at the room later." Carolyn said in half anger tone. It was obvious that she tried to control her temper from exploding. Haih.. these two friends of her definitely gonna cause a lot of commotion if they were together. Carolyn was the only left among three of them that was qualified to be the their 'brain'. She was truly the mother of two rebellious kids.

"Here put on these." Carolyn passed the head gear that got torchlight attached to it to Jane and Mia before she went to the switchbox and turned off all the lights. Using the head gear, it was easier for them to move around with small blue light showing them the way. Carolyn then told them to go wait outside after exited the backstage of the training hall. She had to stay behind and made sure that the door had been locked to lessen Senor Dean's suspicion. She would jump down the window after that using the support equipment she brought together with her. Lastly, she must erase every trace of them as the final step. They were lucky that their training shoes were specially made to reduce the friction against the ground as they moved. Thus there was no obvious footstep left on the ground which made their escape process smoother.

It took them five minutes to get into the dorm. Carolyn had left the window open before she went to rescue Jane and Mia. So without going through the entrance door to their hostel, they could still get inside. Their room location was at the strategic place. It was at the corner of the second level and the room below them was actually unoccupied. There was a pipeline near their window which made their room a perfect exit for them to sneak in and out without their neighbours noticed their movements.

Hence three of them climbed up using the pipeline. It was easy for both Jane and Carolyn as they were fit and expert in climbing but not for Mia. Even to climb the tree, she struggled and most of the times she fell down. To help Mia, Carolyn used the rope and tied it around Mia's wrist before pulled her in. They were all panting heavily by the time Mia safely got inside. They were left breathless and desperately gasped for air. It wasn't easy to survive in this training school. What a bad day they had today!

Mia felt exhausted to the extent she had forgotten about the 'ghost' she met just now and slept in soundly. Tomorrow would be her third day and more to come. She needed to recharge her body and strengthen her heart for the upcoming days.
